Every Art Dubba box begins with a story
Our Story

Our founder Karishma Dhawan grew up in a vibrant, multicultural home where creativity wasn't a hobby, it was a way of life. She remembers streets and homes coming alive during festivals, rangoli drawn by hand on doorsteps, decorations hung together, families gathered around a table making something beautiful out of nothing. Colour, pattern, and the simple act of creating together were woven into everyday life.
Those memories never left her.
Years later, living in the UK with children of her own, Karishma noticed something missing. Life had become fast, loud, and screen-filled. The quiet joy of making something by hand of being present, creative, and connected felt harder and harder to find. She wanted to bring that feeling back. Not just for her family, but for anyone who needed a moment to pause and breathe.
That desire became Art Dubba.
What's in a name?
Dubba means "box" in Hindi. But an Art Dubba box is more than packaging, it's a curated creative experience designed to invite you in, slow you down, and help you make something you're genuinely proud of. Every kit is rooted in the rich art forms of Indian culture; mandalas, rangoli, block printing, Madhubani, brought to life in a simple, modern way that anyone can enjoy, regardless of background or experience.
What we believe
We believe art is for everyone. Not just the naturally talented, not just children, not just people with time to spare. Everyone.
We believe creativity should be free from judgment, no pressure to be perfect, no right or wrong way to fill a page. Just colour, pattern, and the quiet satisfaction of making something with your hands.
We believe mindfulness doesn't have to mean meditation. Sometimes it looks like an hour at the kitchen table with a paintbrush and a mandala pattern. Sometimes it looks like a group of friends painting tealight holders together. Sometimes it's a carer sitting beside an older adult, sharing a quiet, focused moment over a coaster kit.
We believe the most meaningful traditions are the ones we make our own.
Who Art Dubba is for
Art Dubba was built for busy mums, families, wellness leaders, schools, care settings, corporate teams, and anyone who needs a reason to put the phone down and pick up a paintbrush. Our kits and workshops are inclusive, beginner-friendly, and suitable for all ages and abilities — from curious three-year-olds to older adults living with dementia.
Every experience is designed to bring people together through creativity, calm, and connection.
Where we are today
What started at a kitchen table has grown into a heart-led creative brand offering mindful art kits, cultural experiences, children's kits, dementia-friendly activities, bespoke corporate gifting, and workshops for schools, retreats, yoga studios, and community groups across the UK.
But the heart of it hasn't changed. Every Art Dubba box is still designed to do the same thing it always did help you slow down, create freely, and enjoy the process.
Create. Connect. Escape. Celebrate.
